About This Experience
Our Durham candle workshop is all about creativity and connection. Over the course of 45 minutes, you’ll work with our expert Chandlers to craft your own custom candle from start to finish. Choose from a variety of vessels, mix your own unique fragrance blend, and enjoy the process of bringing your candle to life. It’s more than just an art class—it's a chance to unwind, have fun, and create something truly special in a beautiful and relaxing environment.
Located in Durham’s historic Brightleaf Square, our DIY candle pouring workshop is a top choice for locals and visitors looking for unique things to do in downtown Durham. After you finish pouring your candle, take advantage of a 10% discount in our retail store and explore our curated collection of candles, home fragrances, and accessories.
Workshop Highlights
- Price: $45 per person, which includes all materials and expert guidance.
- Pick-up or Shipping: Candles will be ready for pickup 3 hours after pouring or can be shipped for $12 per candle. We will hold candles for up to 30 days to give you time to pick it up at your convenience.
- Reservations: While reservations aren’t required, they are highly recommended as seating is limited. Check the calendar above for current availability.
- Beverages: Feel free to bring your own beverages to enjoy during the workshop! We have an $8 corking fee per 750ml bottle or 6-pack.
- Food: For safety reasons, food isn’t allowed in the workshop space. However, you can bring food and drinks for private events—learn more here.

- Age Restrictions: All participants must be 5 years or older. Those under 18 require a guardian to sign a waiver. For safety reasons, children under 5 are not allowed in the workshop area.
