WORKSHOPS

How long does a candle pouring last?

Our traditional workshops take around 1 hour! This includes time to choose both fragrance and vessel, and often the class time is a bit shorter. You can always stick around to continue enjoying your drinks and shopping the retail store with your discount!

What does the cost include?

The cost of a reservation includes a seat at the table and everything you need to make your custom candle! You'll leave with a custom candle and you also get a discount in our retail shop and discounted refills if you bring your clean vessel back in.

What is your cancellation policy?

We get it, life happens. If you request a cancellation at least 48 hours before the time of your pouring, we'll issue you a refund! Email hello@thecandlebar.co with your name and the location of your booking to request a cancellation.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Definitely! We can provide glassware and there is a corking fee of $8 per 6-pack or bottle of wine. Seltzers, beer, and wine only. Many of our locations also have beer and wine for sale!

Can I bring food?

We don't allow outside food in our public workshops. However, some of our locations have snacks for purchase! We also sometimes host food + candle pouring collabs, so be sure to keep an eye on our EVENTS PAGE!

Can I have a private event?

Celebrations are always welcome at Paddywax Candle Bar! You can learn more about private events here!

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes! We offer 10% off for reservations of 10 or more seats. Just use code GROUP10 at checkout!

Another great option for groups who might not all be in the same place is our VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS.

Are reservations required or do you accept walk-ins?

This depends on the location you are visiting! Our Gulch, Birmingham, and Philly locations are Pop-In and Pour which means you can just walk up and pour a candle right then and there. If you want to bring a group to these locations, both Birmingham and Philly offer reservations. Every location besides our Berry Hill location has a "DIY Table" for walk-ins!

For our other locations: While reservations are not required, we highly recommend them! Each location has set pouring times with a limited number of seats. Feel free to check availability at your location here!

What if someone in my party doesn't want to pour a candle?

Our candle pouring reservations are for one seat. You're more than welcome to share the pouring process with a partner, but please note they may not have a seat if the pouring is full! In order to experience Paddywax Candle Bar in the best way possible, we recommend reserving a seat for each guest attending.

What is your return policy?

For our candle pouring workshops, we require cancellation at least 48 hours before your scheduled class to receive a full refund! We accept returns on undamaged merchandise with proof of purchase up to 90 days after buying. Our Collaborative Workshops are not eligible for refunds. Purchase with confidence! ;)

What is the age requirement to pour a candle?

Because our candle pouring workshops include handling hot wax and fragrance oils, children must be 5 years or older to participate. Anyone under 18 must have a legal guardian sign their waiver. Additionally, children under 5 are not permitted in the workshop space. Safety first!

Can I mix fragrances or bring my own vessel?

Our fragrances and vessels have to go through safety testing, so we can't allow you to mix fragrances or bring your own vessel. But we have over 40 fragrances and 65 vessels to choose from on site! That's over 2000 combinations!

How can I change my reservation?

If you need to make any changes to your reservation (date, time, number of seats, etc.), please email hello@thecandlebar.co with your name and the location of your booking and we'll take care of you!

Can I take my candle home with me after pouring?

Our candles require three hours to cure after pouring. You can pick it up later (during open business hours) or we can ship your candle to you for $12! (Continental US Only)

Will you hold my candle until I can pick it up?

Yes! We can hold your candle until you can pick it up, up to 30 days. After 30 days, we donate remaining candles to a local charity! If you can't pick it up within 30 days, we're happy to ship it to you for $12! Just email hello@thecandlebar.co with your name, the location you poured at, the vessel name, fragrance name, and your shipping address to begin this process.

Can I refill a candle from a past visit?

Yes! We love when people give their candles a second life. In fact, you can call your location to book a repouring for 30% off! You can either hop in a class, or just drop your empty and cleaned vessel off and we'll repour it for you! (Please note: we can only refill vessels from our vessel wall.)

Can I pour more than one candle?

Sure! Each guest can pour up to two candles. The reservation cost includes one candle, but if you would like to pour another, just let one of our team members know when you arrive and they can arrange your additional supplies and payment.

Also sign up for emails, follow us on social, or keep an eye on our EVENTS PAGE as we sometimes offer BOGO classes in which you can pour two candles for the price of one.

Can I buy empty vessels or fragrance oils from you?

We're happy to sell empty vessels to you! They can be purchased at any of our locations for $18.00 each. We do not sell fragrance oils at this time.

My candle arrived broken, what should I do?

Oh no! But not to worry, we're more than happy to repour your candle and ship it again! Just send an email to hello@thecandlebar.co with a photo of your broken candle, the location you poured at, the vessel name, and fragrance name and we'll take care of it.

How does pop in and pour work? Should I call ahead of time? Put my name on a waitlist?

Pop In and Pour works like a restaurant that doesn't take reservations. If we have seats available, you can come in and pour! If we are at capacity when you arrive, ask to put your group name down on our waitlist and we'll send a notification when we're ready for you!

CANDLE CARE

How do I keep my candle from tunneling?

1. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch each time before burning. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning.

2. Let the wax pool completely across each time you light it.

3. We recommend you don't burn longer than 4-5 hours at a time. This will prevent excessive heat build up.

4. Keep your candle within sight! Try not to move your candle unless the wax is completely dry.

How do I prepare my candle to repurpose or refill?

1.Stop burning your candle when there is still 1/4 inch of wax left.

 2. Place your vessel in the freezer overnight or until frozen.

 3. Remove candle from freezer and use a dull knife such as a butter knife to crack the wax.

 4. Pop out wax pieces and remove wicks (you may need to continue to use the dull knife for this).

 5. Wash your vessel with soap and water and you are ready to go!

If you have a wax warmer, you can scoop out and cut up the wax into small pieces to melt and still fill your home with that fragrance!
